Saturday, June 21st, 9:30AM-12:30PM, Public Harlem Technology Forum at the Harlem Garage, 318 West 118th Street. The Manhattan Community Board 10 Economic Development Committee cordially invites you to attend our Saturday, June 21st, 2014 Harlem Technology Forum, where representatives from local technology companies, educational institutions, economic development organizations, Harlem residents, and other stakeholders will discuss the current and future challenges and opportunities with respect to recent technological developments in Harlem for long-term residents.
The forum will be divided into multiple sections covering discussing: “Central Harlem Wi-Fi: Economic Expectations and Opportunities;" “Central Harlem Small High Technology Businesses- Partners for a Harlem 'High Tech' Economy;” “Technology and Education- Current and Future Implications for Harlem Young Technologists;” and “Seniors and Technology- Making the Connection.”
There will be a"Meet and Greet" with breakfast provided by Melba's Restaurant on the main floor when guests arrive. The program will begin promptly at 9:45 AM.
The purpose of this forum will focus on the economic impact and opportunities posed by the new free Wi-Fi zone to Central Harlem residents. Please find attached a letter of invitation to attend the forum. Please note that you must RSVP with CB 10 District Manager Mr. Andrew Lassalle at alassalle@cb.nyc.gov to register to attend.
