SHOP: PROGRESS AT LA TARENGA ON ACP
Bespoke readers tipped off that a new restaurant at ACP and 139th Street was setting up shop back in October and now it looks like even more progress is at hand. Based on public notices printed on the window, we gathered that the new eatery in the cool corner space will be called La Tarenga which apparently would mean that some sort of French-Senaglese establishment might just be arriving soon. The facade has been painted a neutral grey tone at this point and classic retro industrial lamps have been placed out front. Graphic color elements in the window allude that something a little more modern might come into play which could be just the right mix to update this part of Central Harlem across from Strivers Row. At this rate, there probably will be a mid or late summer opening since things tend to progress rather quickly when the facade starts finishing up.
