Folks might remember that the original Red Rooster was located at 2354 7th Avenue and the storefront just below 138th Street had plans for a new restaurant opening about 3 years ago. We returned to the spot recently and noticed that things are still pretty much the same which means that the business planning to startup at this location never made it past the initial permit phase. Seeing that two new restaurants have established themselves on the surrounding blocks in the past few months, we expect the vacant status of this legendary address to change soon.
