REVIVE: 112 WEST 120TH STREET

A vacant brownstone at 112 West 120th Street in the proposed Mount Morris Park Historic District extension is finally being restored properly.  Based on the permits out front, the ornate townhouse just west of Lenox will become a 2-family home with a penthouse addition on top.  Notable brownstone neighborhoods in the city such as the West Village or Park Slope are celebrated because of the restored brownstones and thankfully a few developers uptown see the value of keeping the history intact.  This will definitely pay off in the long run since folks seeking to live on a brownstone block do not necessarily want to see a lot of modern stuff happening aesthetically.
