REMEMBER: A BLOCK OF TWO CHURCHES CIRCA 1941
Who can guess the vantage point of this block adjacent to one of Harlem's landmark districts taken in 1941? Those two churches still remain today but some of the other buildings have since disappeared.
ANSWER: This view was taken from 7th Avenue/ACP looking east on West 122nd Street. As can be seen in the lower photo, both churches still hold court but a couple of modern structures have arrived on the block.
