Low rents for studios or one-bedrooms are tough to find in the $1,000 range these days but there are still some deals for two-bedroom apartments. Number 444 West 125th Street is located within a 5 minute walk of the express trains and the FDB corridor with rent set at $1,575 a month. The down side is that it's probably a walkup and the view of the public housing across the street is not one of the best ones to have in Harlem. Anyways, it is not a bad starter apartment for those looking for a deal plus there is no fee to this one:
