REVIVE: CONSTRUCTION AT ORIGINAL RED ROOSTER

Marcus Samuelsson was inspired to open a restaurant uptown partially by the legend of Harlem's original Red Rooster on 7th Avenue and 138th Street.  Now it appears the brownstone storefront space might finally be put to use once more just around the corner from some of uptown's most beautiful landmark blocks.  We walked by the space on Monday and noticed lots of construction equipment on site but things seam to be happening on a smaller scale.  Two new restaurants have opened in this general vicinity over the summer so the timing would make sense for other eateries to finally come aboard and fill in these legendary storefronts.
