ARCHITECTURE: A SHADE OF GRAY AT WEST 127TH

The renovations of the brownstone at 57 West 127th Street is almost complete and a new color has been revealed.  This home located between Fifth and Lenox has been going through some major changes in the past few years which included converting the building to 6 units with a 2-floor extension at top. Developers here have been carefully keeping things contextual by duplicating the existing architecture on one of the new levels and just moving the cornice up.  As far as the colors go, gray is also modern and classic at the same time and this new facade furnished looks pretty smart as far as an update goes.
