REMEMBER: A STORAGE BUILDING CIRCA 1941
Who can guess the vantage point of this boulevard taken circa 1941? The storage building at center right no longer stands today and has been replaced by a new residential building. Some of lower level structures remain in modern times but one has to look really hard to figure them out.
ANSWER: The view looks north towards 124th Street on 8th Avenue. Aloft Hotel is now the prominent structure on the east side of the boulevard instead of the ornate storage warehouse. The Magic Johnson Theater now stands on the west side today.
