Anyone paying attention to the broker stats in 2014 will tell rent-seekers that the average one-bedroom in Manhattan goes for around $3,000 per month and prime Brooklyn apparently just about $300 less than that aforementioned figure. With all that said, Harlem is part of Manhattan and we decided to see what $3,000 could get one within this reported one-bedroom price point.
Number 1878 ACP/7th Avenue actually came up in our search and this 4-bedroom apartment just 4 blocks from Central Park was just at $3,000 a month. This section of South Harlem is surrounded by pre-war apartments and the general view is that of the City's most famous Park. Then there is the FDB commercial corridor which is only a block over along with the express line at 110th: LINK
Shhh! Don't tell anyone.
