Sugar Hill Market will have its final holiday event for 2014 this coming Sunday and one of the returning designers is Karema Deodato Millinery who is the top women's contemporary hat designer in Harlem. The Harlem resident has been uptown most her life and is one of those rare kids that actually grew up in the city from parents who hailed from Brazil originally. Classic felt fedoras take on new shapes with this extraordinary collection which also has one popular style that features ear flaps that are fashionable and functional at the same time. What is even more bespoke about this local artisan is that the designer uses the traditional methods to mold felt on a wood hat form and also hand-knits details when needed. Come check out this last market for the year and get those hat orders in for the cold weather ahead!
