Whole Foods on 125th Street and Lenox is still under construction and will be the second better grocer to arrive on Harlem's commercial corridor. Folks might remember that Citarella first arrived uptown a decade ago but never quite took off. This was before most of the new developments started to sell out and the construction of the Manhattanville Columbia University just west of this location by Amsterdam Avenue. A lot of changes have since happened in the neighborhood and we expect Whole Foods to do very well because the timing is right this time around. As for the aforementioned old shop, no anchor tenant has secured the former Citarella storefront yet since the brewing company deal did not go through at the end:
