PETITION: SAVE THE RENAISSANCE BALLROOM
Now there are over 3,856 signatures signed up on a petition to save Harlem's last big ballroom space of the Renaissance decade from the demolition. Community leaders had blocked landmarking the building because they did not want to deter development through city restrictions and had previously shown plans for adaptive reuse. Now a developer has been selected that has intentions on razing the entire historic site. Those interested in learning more about this local landmark and signing the petition can go to the Change.org site: LINK
