SEE: HISTORY OF THE APOLLO THEATRE

Saturday, February 21st,  A Tour of The Apollo, from 12:00PM to 5:00PM at 253 West 125th Street. In celebration of African American History Month, the Apollo Theater will open its doors for a free afternoon of community programming. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the Theater and step onto the legendary stage where many of the biggest icons in entertainment have launched their careers. Hosted by Apollo Tour Director and Ambassador Billy Mitchell.

Highlights of Open House include: 12:00 noon: A presentation on the history of the Apollo and the numerous theaters that once dominated 125th Street at the start of the 20th century. Led by Harlem Historian and Columbia University Community Scholar John Reddick: LINK
