Plywood has been up for several months on Lenox at 124th Street but now the facade has finally been revealed at the forthcoming tea parlor by the Mount Morris Park Historic District. Chaiwali is set to open in Spring 2015 and it looks like most of the drywall has been placed within the interior and the metal entranceway has all finished up. We received an update a while back stating that things were coming along a bit more slowly than expected but now it appears the complicated stuff has all been completed. Adding the final details such as the flooring, paint, light fixtures, furnishings and tile work should be relatively a more quick process at this point. Read more about Chaiwali in our past post:
