EAT: CHAIWALI ON LENOX WILL OPEN IN JUNE

New signs are up at Chaiwali just south of 124th Street and Lenox Avenue which reveals more details about the dining establishment set to open soon.  Hand painted signage continues as the big restaurant trend this year and Chaiwali now has this bespoke detail on the facade in a vibrant crimson hue.  A more formal sign has also been placed by the topiary out front which has a brief note by the proprietor.  Originally everyone thought the boutique eatery in the Mount Morris Park Historic District would be a tea parlor but we have now been informed that the owner plans to have a full Indian inflected menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  All of the design details are being finished up now but Harlem will have to wait another month before this notable debut happens.  More on Chaiwali can be found in our past post: LINK
