INTRODUCING: CASUAL AND CRISPY AT STREETBIRD
We were back a second time at Streetbird Rotisserie at 116th Street and FDB to try out the main sandwich offering on the menu. Chef Marcus Samuelsson's affordable second Harlem eatery requires no reservations so it really makes it easy to drop in and eat at the new hot spot a couple of times a week. At $8.50 each, the Crispy Bird comes with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, house made BBQ sauce which is all served up on substantial potatoe roll. This super saucy and crispy combo had a huge slab of battered chicken thigh that was unapologetically moist and full of rich flavor. We imagined that if one of the mid range restaurant in the neighborhood would have the same quality of this poultry portion, the price would easily be double of what Streetbird was charging.
One might not be able to tell from the above photo that this is a seriously sized fried chicken burger but we would recommend a smaller side order that is a little lighter when choosing additional plates to go along with this particular meal. See more photos of Streetbird in our past post: LINK
