REVIVE: MANHATTANVILLE CAMPUS UPDATE MAY 2015

It now looks like the second building on Columbia University's new $7 billion Manhattanville Campus is near completion.  This one only took about 6 months to get to the current state and went up vastly quicker than its predecessor. It took a few years for demolition and foundation work to start up but now things are finally moving along.   The skyline in Manhattanville used to be dominated by the taller public housing on the surrounding blocks to the east and north but these new structures designed by notable architect Renzo Piano will transform the 17-acre former industrial neighborhood into a more contemporary landscape.  Check out our past post to see what the future site will entail: LINK
