EAT: LUNCH SERVICE AT YUZU ON LENOX
Every since the eatery opened this past April, some uptowners have been wondering if Yuzu on Lenox by 127th Street would be having lunch service and that day has come. We dropped by the new sushi spot this week in Central Harlem that happens to also serves some other Japanese classics for lunch. A bento box for $9.50 looked like an excellent option but we were in the mood for a more simple donburi bowl which was $8.50 on the menu. Oshinko pickles and miso soup arrived as part of the set with the hot bowl of rice topped with marinated, thinly sliced tender cooked beef and sweet onions. Everything was as wholesome and fresh as expected and even the usually boring miso soup had charred fried tofu accenting the broth which added a smokey flavor. This is probably one of the better midday deals to be had in the area and we will be coming back to check out the other offerings at another point in time.
