EAT: NEW FACADE AT ISLAND BURGER

Construction for Island Burger on Broadway just two blocks south of 125th Street has reached a new milestone with the completion of the facade out front.  Rustic wood panels have transformed the formerly shabby old space into a storefront with a little more curb appeal.  We also like the industrial overhead lamps for illumination which uptown restaurants are starting to use. This is the second location in Manhattan for the eatery that started out in Hell's Kitchen and actually serves up some great grub at an affordable price point.  More students and young families have been moving into this residential part of Manhattanville by LaSalle Street and we expect this new establishment to do very well once they open by the end of summer.  The website has more on the menu: www.islandburgersandshakes.com

  1. What is up with Island Burger? It's been sitting empty for months now.
