READ: THE HAIKU ON 125TH STREET
Is it a warning or public art? We never really noticed the Haiku posted on the corner of 7th Avenue and 125th Street until recently and thought it might have been just public art posted by someone locally. Upon closer inspection we found that this short poem is a permanent fixture sponsored by the DOT for the general public to enjoy. This is probably one of the best example of functional art since this pretty much captures one of those things that city dwellers are worried about and is a cautionary tale to be told.
