READ: DEMOLITION FOR 122ND STREET STABLE
The century-old carriage house on 122nd Street just west of 7th Avenue is now set for demolition based on a report by DNAinfo. Neighbors have been trying to have the historic building landmarked but apparently the former church owner sold the building in the past year for $1.5 million and permits were recently approved to raze the structure. It would seem that a lot of home buyers probably would have purchased the building to restore for the amount requested but the seller evidently worked with a developer with no such intentions. More on the story can be found on DNAinfo: LINK

Oh no!!
ReplyDeletedeveloper - have a little smarts. keep the facade and incorporate it into new building. you did not buy a vacant lot! keep what is a very good facade. and its good business too.
