EAT: EXTRAORDINARY PIES AT BABBALUCCI
We finally made it over to Harlem's newest brick oven pizza parlor called Babbalucci which is located on Lenox just north of 126th Street. As some have pointed out, Babbalucci actually mean "snail" in Italian and to our surprise, there actually was an escargot pizza on the menu which comes in a 12 inch or 16 inch pie. This was still a red sauce pizza with accents of garlic and gorgonzola which somehow came together in the unique offering. Most notable was the perfect crisp but chewy crust and the surprisingly tender escargot. Harlem definitely now has several great pizza spots to visit and Babbalucci should be on everyone's list. Check out the full menu on the Babbalucci website: LINK
