INTRODUCING: NEW SIGN AT THE MINK BUILDING

The Mink Building on the corner of West 126th and Amsterdam now has a new sign out front of the iconic Manhattanville facade.  As the story goes, this huge industrial area was basically the site of brewery over a century ago but when Prohibition shut things down, the middle class used the building for storing such items as mink coats during the change of seasons.  This area also encompassed the former Taystee cake building which has been completely demolished but we not seen much progress on the site since then.  Another mention in the press was that a boutique hotel was coming to one of the buildings but the timeline is also still unclear for this concept: LINK
