REVIVE: SIDEWALK SHED DOWN AT 118TH AND LENOX
The sidewalk shed above La Bodega 47 at the corner of 118th and Lenox has finally been taken down this week. We walked by yesterday and a couple of workers from the restaurant could be seen taking down the lettering on the signage out front also. Word has it that the former eatery that used to be called Native, then transformed to the lounge called bodega, will now be a Mexican spot. All incarnations are by the same proprietor who appears to experimenting with a few of the trends in the dining scene that has been happening over the years. Nothing official has been posted yet about a new name but a Bespoke reader has provided a bit of information: LINK

I don't remember anyone actually doing anything to the facade of that building But thank goodness it's down.
ReplyDeletewow finally after so many years. The owners must be really happy. It was so difficult for you to see there was a restaurant in that location. I hope this is permanent. The building itself is beautiful.
