ARCHITECTURE: 2040 FDB RISES AT 110TH STREET
UPDATE: Based on a tip, the building will be called Circa on the Park and 38 of the units will be market rate condos. One to five bedroom apartments will be available starting at $970.5K.
The new residential 11-story residential build at 2040 FDB which sits on a former gas station site is picking up speed and rising quickly. We walked by the address facing Central Park on 110th Street a couple of days ago and 8 floors have almost been completed thus far. Frederick Douglass Circle is such a unique corner by the park and finally a building with some architectural merit has arrived in this section of South Harlem. Curved lines that compliment the circular formation of the plaza below provides a dramatic view at the lower FDB corridor and should be a big hit once completed sometimes in Winter 2017. Crescent 110 Equities is the name listed of the owner of the new construction but we are not sure if this is the actual moniker for the residential tower. Community space, retail and about 50 apartments are expected once everything finishes up.
