INTRODUCING: SOTTOCASSA ON LENOX
Some major action is happening over at 227 Lenox Avenue in the Mount Morris Park Historic District and Harlem's newest Neapolitan pizzeria called Sottocasa looks like it is in full gear to open in the next couple of months. We walked by this block by 121st Street in the past week and noticed a banner announcing the arrival of the pie shop hanging out front. Workers were also loading lots of construction materials off a truck today for the interior renovations. What's interesting about this newcomer to uptowns hot dining scene is the that Sottocasa originally has a couple of locations in another borough and usually states that they are Brooklyn Proud within their marketing. Branding for BK does not really work uptown for we are just as Harlem Proud of our neighborhood businesses and it is pretty respectable for the recent arrival to put that into consideration.
