DRINK: MORE PROGRESS AT BIERSTRASSE
Apparently more work on Bierstrasse has been progressing over the past week by the Manhattanville Viaduct on 12th Avenue. We walked by the corner address on Sunday and saw that the hand painted signage is coming along with the name of the beer establishment now fully visible. The new arrival by far West 133rd Street replaces the former Hudson River Cafe which felt more like a lounge but this incarnation should be a little more old world. Since the appeal of beer gardens tend to be traditional in nature, the new aesthetic direction is hitting all the right notes to become a major brew attraction when it opens in the coming months. As previously mentioned, the owners of The Grange in Hamilton Heights are reportedly behind the future destination spot in Manhattanville: LINK
