READ: HARLEM'S LOCAL CULTURAL GEMS
Curbed just did a feature on Harlem with an insider point of view which mentions some of the hidden hangouts in the neighborhood. One of the points within the article talks about the tradition of salons being held in brownstones and also how Maison d'Art on 132nd Street is one of the hidden gems to be found uptown. Another great characteristic of the neighborhood that many point out is that people actually greet each other on the streets.
