INTRODUCING: CURRY-YA UPTOWN OPENING SOON

The sister restaurant to Rai Rai Ken ramen looks like it will be opening in the next week or so.  Manhattan's original ramen shop opened up on Amsterdam by West 133rd Street a year ago and construction on the adjacent commercial space next door started a few months after.  Curry-Ya Uptown  is the name of the new establishment which basically means curry shop in Japanese and should bring some variation to this dish to Harlem.  Curry is a major comfort food in Japan and specialty shops are starting to appear in the city but this will be the first to arrive uptown.  As with Rai Rai Ken,  Curry-Ya also has an original counterpart in the East Village.
