SHOP: HAMILTON PALACE STILL UP FOR RENT
Someone mentioned to us recently that they saw that the big lease sign on the ground floor of Hamilton Palace had been taken down and wondered if an anchor tenant has been found. Many pedestrians often fail to look upwards at architecture on a day-to-day bases but we noticed that new contact details have been posted up top where the cornice used to be. This is a rather large space in a landmark building so the right commercial tenant who can float the rent will probably be a major issue. The location just a block away from the 1 train on 145th Street is rather ideal and hopefully something might come along sooner than later. There have also been talks of a condo conversion but not much seems to be happening in that direction at this point in time. More about the former RKO Theatre can be found in our past post: LINK

the company leasing it is despicable. i tried to produce an arts event there, and they demanded $15000 a DAY.
