DEMOLITION: EAST HARLEM SALVATION ARMY
When walking by East 125th Street at the corner of 3rd Avenue last week, we noticed that a major building had totally disappeared. Apparently the old Salvation Army had been demolished within a very short period of time so we did a little research on 2306 Third Avenue. DOB permits filed earlier in the year has a 13-story tower planned for the spot but an earlier report mentioned only 11 floors. Everything is still under the Salvation Army umbrella and the new construction will senior housing with 233 apartments when things finish up according to New York YIMBY: LINK
