REMEMBER: LANGSTON HUGHES HOUSE 2016
We walked by the Langston Hughes house at 20 East 127th Street this past weekend and the local landmark seems to be in relatively good condition. The vines that used to cover the facade withered about 3 years ago but everything else pretty much looks the same. Some might remember that the SRO townhouse located just east of Fifth Avenue was up for sale 5 years ago for an asking price of one million but the historic home did not find a new owner. Since this address is an important part of Harlem's heritage, our hope is that a full restoration will come about one day. For more information on the Hughe's home, check out our past post which has photos from one of the open houses a few year back: LINK
