P.S. 186 looks to be finishing up its restoration process on 145th Street and we noticed that the cast iron gate has been put back in place this week. There had been a chain link fence on the construction site for the past year and now the final design elements are being installed at the former schoolhouse just east of Broadway. Affordable housing is a big part of the mix and this grand dame of Hamilton Heights will shine once more as one of the most majestic buildings on the block.
