SHOP: NEW RESTAURANT AT 381 LENOX AVENUE
A Bespoke reader sent in a photo of the facade construction activity happening currently at 381 Lenox and it appears that a restaurant will be arriving soon at this location just north of 129th Street. These storefronts located within one of the larger condo complexes in area has had string of short-lived retail startups but the acclaimed Inoue Sushi seems to be doing well these days. So what is the next business to debut at 381 in the coming months? DOB permits reveal that paperwork had been approved last month for a Harlem Hookah restaurant so that is pretty much what is arriving at this part of Central Harlem.

I'm so excited to see some culture coming to Harlem at a time when it seems to be disappearing. Hookah is a staple in middle eastern culture and it's refreshing to see it being introduced to central Harlem.
ReplyDeleteHookah in Harlem!?! Exciting! Harlem is the heart of NYC's cultural melting pot so this restaurant is going to be a breath of fresh air to the area. I'll be following this closely - hopefully you'll post when it opens? Can't wait!
