EAT: THE HANGOVER PIZZA AT FUMO
We had previously seen that Fumo in Hamilton Heights had a brunch pizza served up on the weekends and made it a point to drop by this weekend to check it out. The offering that really stuck out to us was called the Hangover which included hotdogs and french fries on the specialty pie. This sounded just strange enough to give a try at least once and we were really surprised at the end result. What really stood out the most was that the pizza was not greasy at all and that the crust was perfectly crisp on top and bottom. This just goes to show that the chef by the wood oven in the back really knows what he is doing when and the quality really apparent in the presentation.
So how did it taste? Well lets just say the Hangover is worth checking out for those who like their crafted pizza and also a bit of Americana. We would actually order this fun brunch option once again in the near future since it tasted a lot better than expected and the colder weather just makes it the right time for comfort food. The Lox pizza also looked like a winner so a few more visits to Fumo at the corner of 139th and Amsterdam will surely be made this fall. Check out the details of the weekly lunch menu at Fumo in our past post: LINK
