The former El Morocco club shuttered some time ago and now rumors have been going around that a national electronics chain might just be the new anchor tenant. This intersection of Hamilton Heights on Broadway at 145th Street would make sense since it is a subway stop and discount chain should do well in the neighborhood. Construction is still at hand so it will probably take some time for the final storefront to be revealed.
It's really sad that space couldn't remain a club. There's really no large space to hold club nights in the neighborhood.
