BESPOKE: GALERIA DE GUERILLA ON EAST 116TH
An abandoned lot over on East 116th Street located between 3rd and 2nd Avenue on the east side has become a popup outdoors art gallery. Those passing by this section of El Barrio which has become the Mexican neighborhood in Manhattan over the past decade will notice that the plywood has been painted black and traditional decorative skulls have also been posted up all over the Galeri de Guerrilla. We kind of like this solution to those unsightly lots that for some reason are still on some blocks and hopefully more public gallery art will pop up in the future
