Doug E's shuttered over the summer and now the storefront at the corner of 132nd Street appears to have been leased out by a new tenant. We walked by the shop in Central Harlem yesterday and noticed that a few permits had been posted up on the window.
New windows and interiors will be coming together in the upcoming weeks and another restaurant should soon arrive in no time. Quite a bit of money is being invested into the forthcoming business so something on the better end could be opening soon. A quick search of the address elsewhere does not come up with anything so everyone will just have to wait until the facade finishes up to find out what the restaurant will be about.
