SEE: THE HAWK OF WEST 135TH STREET
A Bespoke reader sent in a few incredible photos of a hawk in Harlem which apparently rules West 135th Street just a block from St. Nicholas Park. The city has an abundance of pigeons which makes the island perfect for birds of prey and the aforementioned feathered predator was seen in action over a sidewalk shed above the Chase Bank on 8th Avenue. We saw the famous colony of parrots further east on Lenox Avenue in the past year so Harlem has really gone to the birds these days.
