EAT: A NIGHT OUT AT BELLE IN HARLEM
Harlem Bespoke finally made it over to Belle on ACP by 139th Street for dinner one night to try out Chef Darryl Burnett's evening offerings. Table reservations were kind of tricky to secure so those who want to drop by the chef's table restaurant should call in advance. One of the our favorite dishes during our visit was the gojuchang spiced mussels with lime zest which were as fresh as can be and had a subtle hit of heat from the Korean fermented hot pepper paste. There was also a house made angel hair pasta that was on point with perfectly poached lobster which showed off the technical talents Chef Burnett but the vanilla accent in the sauce was a little heavy for our personal palette. The fish special had some rave reviews from the diners next to us and looked amazing but we only stopped by for a light bite. With that said, we would definitely explore the other seafood offerings next time around seeing that the plates being prepared looked absolutely delicious. Belle is quite a unique restaurant experience and brings a bit of excitement to the Strivers Row neighborhood so those nearby in Central Harlem should try the eatery out for dinner or weekend brunch service: LINK
