Tuesday, March 7th, 6:30PM, Documenting LGBTQ Life at Museum of the City of New York, 104th Street and Fifth Avenue. Noted directors Rodney Evans, Conrad Ventur, and Michelle Memran will discuss how film as a creative medium can document and preserve queer history. The directors will also share clips from their most recent and/or upcoming films, each of which focuses on a significant queer artist -- from drag performer and Warhol superstar Mario Montez and playwright Maria Irene Fornes to photographer John Dugdale. Gay Gotham co-curator Stephen Vider moderates.
