L.A. Sweets had a soft opening this weekend and we made it through some dreary weather recently to try out the offerings at the baked goods spot in the Mount Morris Park Historic District.  This location is just a couple of doors down from Settepani at the corner of 120th Street and the newly installed interior has industrial baking equipment in the back.

There is actually enough space for a couple of tables in front of the service counter within but everything is pretty much set up for takeout at this point in time.  A few freshly baked croissants were also in the mix which is a good sign for those who might want something savory but those with a sweet tooth should definitely make it over to the new shop.  The L.A. in the moniker is actually the initials of the amazing owner who was also working out front and mentioned she has been listening to customer suggestion to see what to add on to the daily assortment. Extravagant custom cakes will also be part of the mix so those planning birthday parties should contact this local business: LINK
