More formal gold leaf signage has gone up on the window of the new cupcake shop called L.a. Sweets NY on Lenox Avenue and the shop appears to be coming along. We first thought that the initials at the front of the moniker referred to west coast but the lower case lettering might be indicative of another abbreviation. This block by 119th Street will soon become quite a destination because the artisan ice cream shop that everyone is excited about will be opening a couple of doors down:
