ARCHITECTURE: TOWNHOUSE ORIELS

We especially love this peachy oriel window up on Sugar Hill located just east of Amsterdam Avenue in the 140s.  This distinct townhouse design element are often removed if the brownstone owner does not desire to invest in their repair so having one in such condition is quite a pleasing spectacle for the eyes. A mint green cornice and painted  yellow wood window frames also add a delightful accent  to the address with a softer color aesthetic than most on the block. Having a lot of color on the outside of building can be a tricky endeavor but his particular example does the job quite beautifully.
