SHOP: WHAT'S REPLACING AMERICAN APPAREL?

Harlem Bespoke: American Apparel was bought out by a competitor last year and has shuttered all retail outlets including the one on 125th Street. So what is next for the empty commercial space located just east of 7th Avenue?
The Canadian tee shirt manufacturer that purchased American Apparel does not appear to have any retail ambitions but Aldo has since decided otherwise. This shoe shop that features both women's and men's footwear also has corporate roots from further up north but appears to be focusing on expanding in Manhattan. There are quite a few locations downtown and we especially like that the updated but classic assortment within the store is made in traditional European shoe factories but also have a more affordable price point.
