Harlem Bespoke: The Renny at 137th Street on 7th Avenue appears to be making some major facade progress this summer. We walked by the 134-unit new construction yesterday and must admit that the block looks dramatically different in a good way. Unfortunately the historic Renaissance Ballroom could not be saved at this address but the developers have duplicated some of the exterior finishes in the rental building. At this rate, everything else appears to be in good shape for a Central Harlem debut in the coming months.
