Harlem Bespoke: We had not been to Fairway on 12th Avenue at the corner of 132nd Street for some time and was surprised at the new prepared food counter that has now been set up. The Manhattanville location only previously had packaged meals before but appears now to be keeping up with the likes of Whole Foods with an in-house cafe that has a chopped salad bar, a pizza parlor and a sushi counter where everything is prepared fresh each day. A hot food buffet is still included in the mix but the full service setup is really more inviting but still lacks any seating. With that said, we usually just go to the West Harlem Piers located just across the street to soak in the scenery after grabbing the takeout offerings.
