Harlem Bespoke: We walked by the long-abandoned storefront at the corner of 142nd Street and Hamilton Place which had a lot of construction going on this week. There will apparently be a laundromat arriving to this part of Hamilton Heights and this makes total sense to us. This is the one local amenity that has always been essential for every neighborhood in the city but more appear to be closing down than opening up these days. It is not the most exciting development to happen on the block but at least the new storefront will be something that everyone can benefit from.
