SHOP: UPDATE AT SUGAR MONK

Harlem Bespoke:  We walked by the location for the new bar called Sugar Monk on Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard by 118th Street yesterday and noticed that not much activity could be seen on the site.  There used to be a liquor license public announcement on the door back in December but that document has since been removed.  A passerby mentioned that they thought a bar was arriving soon but now the space looks even more vacant.


After some research on social media, we noticed that the official Instagram account for the lounge ha been updating cocktail photos on a regular bases over the past couple of weeks which indicates that things are probably still underway.  One sample menu of bar snacks even includes American Sturgeon caviar as one of the offerings which will be an interesting addition to the food scene uptown.  More on Sugar Monk can be found in our past post: LINK
